The 2004 Christmas Revels drew on Scottish heritage, featuring stirring vocal and instrumental music, traditional dance, and story-telling in the glorious Scottish tradition.  The Highlands are home to many ancient customs and traditions that celebrate Hogmanay, the Scottish version of the winter solstice feast.     

As always, Revels has sought out native “tradition-bearers” and world-class guest artists. A few of the featured performers in the 2004 Revels were  soprano Susan Rode Morris, storyteller and musician Kevin Carr, folk musician Chris Caswell, singer Wendell Brooks, The San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers and the Revels Highland Dancers.
